On Friday, July 9th, Cleveland Metroparks celebrated the opening of the city’s most distinctive new playground: the Lindsey Family Play Space, a one-acre park that includes such unique features as boulders, water and sand, tunnels, climbing structures, a twisting slide, and shaded areas to rest.

The seeds for GardenWalk Cleveland were planted in 2010 when founders Jan Kious and Bobbi Reichtell visited its namesake, GardenWalk Buffalo, a free, self-guided tour of more than 400 urban residential gardens. They enjoyed it so much they decided to bring it here. It springs to life this weekend, when Clevelanders are invited to tour gardens and green spaces in nine city neighborhoods.
