Cuyahoga SWCD 2026 Annual Meeting & Conservation Costume Contes

uyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is hosting their 2026 Annual Meeting & Conservation Costume Contest on Thursday, October 29, 2026 from 4:30pm – 7:00pm at CentroVilla (3140 West 25^th Street – Cleveland, OH). The event is free, but registration is required – www.cuyahogaswcd.org/event/2026annualmeeting

Cuyahoga SWCD will be celebrating another year of conservation success while enjoying great company, raffling off exciting prizes, giving away native trees including a tree planting demonstration.

Additionally, Cuyahoga SWCD will celebrate their 2026 conservation award winners:

• Kate Catanese, Friends of Impett Park | Volunteer of the Year
• Matt Glass, City of North Royalton | Cooperator of the Year
• City of Berea | Community of the Year
• Grant Weirich | Engineering Professional of the Year
• Kate Bunsey, Lakewood Schools | Ruth Skuly Educator of the Year
• Enrique Gonzalez, City of Cleveland Water Pollution Control | Conservationist of the Year

Attendees can show off their creativity and compete for prizes in the following categories in the Conservation Costume Contest:

• Best Conservation-Themed Costume
• Scariest Costume
• Most Creative Costume
• Best Staff/Board Costume

Every attendee receives one raffle ticket at check-in. Costumed attendees will receive an extra raffle ticket at check-in and $5 in CentroVilla Bucks to use at CentroVilla25: Cleveland’s Premier Latino Market & Food Hall.

This event is also the culmination of Cuyahoga SWCD’s Board of Supervisor election.
Cuyahoga SWCD’s Board of Supervisors are elected public officials tasked with helping shape and direct the Cuyahoga County’s conservation priorities. Five (5) supervisors serve on the board, each serving a three-year term. Annual elections are held for open positions and Cuyahoga residents and landowners over 18 years of age are eligible to vote in the elections.

The 2026 Board of Supervisors election is open from September 30th through October 29th, 2026. Two supervisors will be elected to a three‐year term commencing January 1, 2027, and ending December 31, 2029.
