Descendants Day Picnic at Soldiers’ & Sailor’s Monument

• As part of the nationwide celebration of America 250, the Soldiers’ & Sailors’ Monument will host a Descendants Day Picnic on Sunday, July 19.
• Descendants of the men and women honored on the Monument’s walls are invited to gather, share family histories, explore regimental stories, create name rubbings from the memorial tablets, and enjoy a community picnic on the Monument grounds.
• The event offers a unique opportunity to connect personal family stories with the broader history of Cuyahoga County’s Civil War veterans.
