Local business owner and skincare enthusiast Marina Grabowski has opened her second location of The Lokal Beauty Bar in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood, where she continues to combine her skincare expertise with the relaxing experience of a spa.
On March 21, a cold spring day in downtown Cleveland, you could still feel the warmth in the hearts beating at the Cuyahoga County Administrative Headquarters. There, 30 individuals from other countries will become American citizens.
“This development will elevate urban living experiences, making a positive impact on Cleveland’s Fairfax neighborhood,” said Richard Baron, co-founder and chairman of McCormack Baron.
Hailing from a variety of backgrounds, graduates of The Land’s Community Journalist program were recently united by a shared passion for the strengthening of neighborhood connections during a panel discussion at the Hough Library.
Urban Squash Cleveland, in Ohio City, is teaching kids a new sport while giving them a better chance to excel in all facets of life. “It’s all about giving kids an opportunity. And all of this is just in service of that. You can change one kid’s life a whole lot.”
Following a recent renovation, what was previously a 900-square-foot storefront packed to the brim with a seemingly endless supply of upcycle treasures has been transformed into an open, ground-level studio with plenty of seating for programs and meetings.
