Tour The Land Brookside Chat: Doan Brook (at One World Day!)

We invite members of The Land to attend One World Day on August 28, 2022, and join our informal Brookside Chat on the Doan Brook with Matt Scharver, Deputy Director of Watershed Programs with the Northeast Oho Regional Sewer District.

Learn more about the ongoing importance of Doan Brook, which flows along MLK Jr. Drive to Lakie Erie, and its restoration and health as a historical waterway that helped shaped Cleveland.

The event is free for members of The Land and takes place during One World Day. Meet us on the lawn immediately north of the St. Clair Ave. bridge on MLK Jr. Drive. The chat will begin at 3:30. Bring your own seating if you want to sit, or be ready for a standing meetup. The event will take place rain or shine. We are bringing our umbrellas just in case! Registration is required for headcount purposes.

Going strong for 76 years, One World Day has been the official event of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens since 1946, celebrating over 100 years of Peace Through Mutual Understanding. You  can eat, drink, learn about, and be entertained in 30+ gardens and event venues throughout the day. From the naturalization ceremony at 11am followed by the Parade of Flags at noon to the closing performance by the Moises Borges Band, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
