Cleveland History Center MLK Day event – Free admission
Cleveland History CenterThe Cleveland History Center will open on Monday, January 19 - MLK Day, 10am to 4pm. We will offer free admission all day with $3 rides on the Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel. All exhibits will be open. Weber’s Premium Custard will be on site selling Euclid Beach Vanilla and Higbee’s Frosted Malt. In addition to the ongoing museum exhibits, we will have special material on view in the Library related to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other material from the African American History Archive. Members of the WRHS Genealogical Committee will be onsite to assist visitors with access to Ancestry Library and other family history resources. This is a great way to begin a family history research project. Guests are also invited to “Coffee, Cocoa, and Community Conversations” at 12pm. Seating is at capacity but a zoom option is available. Join us in the Crawford Rotunda at 1:30pm to celebrate students from Cleveland School of the Arts and their new installation of artwork featuring Tuskegee Airmen. This Cleveland Heroes Project honors the courage and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen - heroes who transformed both military and civil rights history.
Cupid’s Undie Run
Draft Room at Huntington Bank FieldOn February 7 – hundreds of people in Cleveland will brave the cold in just their undies during Cupid’s Undie Run, the nation’s largest pantless party and mileish run for charity. The event raises awareness of neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, and fundraises for NF research through the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF). Members of the Cleveland NF community can share their experiences with the genetic disorder. Case Western Reserve UniversityThe Lake Erie Folk Festival is our love letter to traditional music in Northeast Ohio. Created and produced by the Northeast Ohio Musical Heritage Association, and now in partnership with WRUW-FM, Lake Erie Folk Festival is back on Valentine’s Day - Saturday February 14th on the Case Western Reserve University Campus. Lake Erie Folk Festival has become Northeast Ohio's largest winter gathering of the region’s traditional music community, drawing visitors from five counties and three states to Greater Cleveland in the otherwise dark days of February. Visitors come for the great music, the sharing and learning and to be part of a vibrant community. LEFF features a host of accessible offerings, including all-day jam sessions playing all kinds of traditional music, free community concerts throughout the afternoon, a whole series of workshops to suit a wide range of musical interests, all topped off with a remarkable line-up of national and local bands sharing the stage in the festival’s always-popular evening concert. There will be music for all ages and abilities -- young musicians and those new to the music are all welcome. “What We Inherited, What We Can Heal”
On February 17, Pasadena Villa Outpatient Cleveland will host “What We Inherited, What We Can Heal,” a public panel conversation featuring Black mental health professionals and community leaders exploring intergenerational healing and mental health. The event is open to the community and welcomes both clinicians and non-professionals. This meaningful event will highlight the voices, expertise, and lived experiences of Black mental health professionals from the Cleveland community. Panelists will share clinical insight, discuss culturally responsive care, and reflect on the importance of representation and advocacy in mental health spaces. The discussion will be moderated by Executive Director, Anycia Grady, MSSA, LISW-S, and hosted by Community Outreach Liaison, Jocelynn Ray. Following the panel discussion, attendees are invited to stay for a networking reception—an opportunity to connect with fellow professionals, community members, and advocates committed to advancing mental health equity.

On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Ohio will officially launch Beloved: Ohio Celebrates Toni Morrison—a yearlong, statewide celebration honoring the life, work, and legacy of Toni Morrison—with a kickoff event at The Columbus Foundation. The celebration will open on Toni Morrison Day, Wednesday, Feb. 18, with a kickoff event at The Columbus Foundation at 5 p.m. featuring a conversation between Namwali Serpell and Hanif Abdurraqib. Inspired by Serpell’s new book On Morrison, the conversation will explore Morrison’s lasting influence and why her work continues to matter today. Cleveland State University Theatre and Dance Spring Dance Concert
Playhouse Square 1501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH, United StatesCleveland State University’s (CSU) Department of Theatre and Dance will host its spring dance concert Feb. 20–22 at Playhouse Square’s Allen Theatre. A celebration of form, motion and creative collaboration, the concert offers a fresh perspective on contemporary dance in Cleveland. Under the direction of Michele Ainza, CSU director of dance, the concert will feature performances by the CSU Dance Company and include original works choreographed by students, faculty and guest artists. CSU’s School of Music will perform the opening piece, “Set and Reset,” with musical direction by Katalin La Favre. In alignment with CSU’s mission, the annual concert centers around student learning opportunities while bridging ties with the community. Students are active participants in the creative process of choreography, performance and production.
