Anna Maria Hamm has over 30 years of business-related experience with the last 5 years as a substitute teacher. Prior to that, 15 years as an auctioneer and Business Development Manager in commercial real estate, and 10 years as a Hotel Sales Manager and Meeting Planner. Anna Maria has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and maintains licensures for substitute teaching, Ohio Real Estate SALES, and Ohio Auctioneer. In addition, she has held board positions with Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW), various parent/teacher groups, and ambassador for the Cleveland Transformation Alliance, Neighborhood Leadership Institute, past VP of Historical Society of Old Brooklyn, and is a founding member of Old Brooklyn Families Group. Based in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood, Anna Maria is heavily connected to her community and family (2 children, 4 dogs, and husband). A member of the BGCNEO program lost their life to gun violence this past school year. Many of the students said they had also lost family and friends to gun violence and they wanted to issue a call to action to “Stop The Violence.”

A new Little Free Library was recently unveiled at East Clark Elementary School in South Collinwood. A group of community partners spearheading the restoration of 20 of these libraries are hoping they will inspire Cleveland kids to read.
After an uproar at the prospect of removing the former St. Luke’s Church, the Old Brooklyn community has agreed on a proposal to redevelop it to appeal to residents of all ages.
