Christina Easter began writing while doing stand-up comedy and is an aspiring filmmaker. To learn how to write for a broader audience, she became a staff writer for Tri-C's student newspaper The Voice, which led to writing assignments for Cleveland Magazine and The Land. She is originally from Chicago but lives on the east side of Cleveland. She participated in The Land's community journalism program and enjoys all kinds of writing as a way of honing her craft.

ThirdSpace Action Lab, a community hub and racial equity consulting firm, has opened a bookstore in its Glenville headquarters. ThirdSpace Reading Room is the only Black-owned bookstore in Cleveland.

Growth in Glenville: Strong near University Circle, but lagging to the north

During the last few years, new businesses, housing, and arts organizations have opened along E. 105th St. in Glenville, bringing new life to the area. But most of this new development has been concentrated near University Circle. Further north along E. 105th St. new development has not yet taken root as expected.
