Richard Osborne
Richard Osborne has received some fifty state and national awards as a newspaper and magazine journalist in Ohio and Massachusetts. His work has appeared in Reader’s Digest, Scientific American, Businessweek, and many other publications. He has authored and edited numerous regional books and organizational histories, including A Community of Faith (1998), which commemorated the sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) of the founding of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. A past president of The Press Club of Cleveland and inductee into the Cleveland Journalism Hall of Fame, Osborne retired from journalism in 2011 as editor and publisher of Ohio Magazine. He then served as president of Ursuline-sponsored Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School(VASJ). He subsequently held interim president/CEO positions at Catholic high schools in the Cleveland and Youngstown dioceses and also served as interim associate superintendent for Cleveland diocesan schools. Educated by the Ursulines at St. Jerome and Holy Cross schools, he is a 1969 graduate of St. Joseph High School and a 1973 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He and his wife, Della, live in Avon. They have four children and ten grandchildren.
