Shalina Chatlani examined the health care system in Mississippi as a part of The New York Times’s Local Investigations Fellowship.
Shalina is a reporter for the States Newsroom in New Orleans. Ms. Chatlani, who was raised in Mississippi, will live in Jackson for a year to examine the state’s health care system.
