It’s never easy for parents to find affordable summer programming for their kids. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO) is hoping it can help.

BGCNEO is opening 17 summer sites across its footprint, including 5 in Cuyahoga County. Each site will offer free summer programming for youth between the ages of 6 and 18. Registration for the programs starts April 29.

The summer programming will run from June 10 through Aug. 16 and will tentatively begin at 8 a.m. and continue through 4 p.m. on weekdays. However, hours may vary by location, so parents should check with individual sites. Some Clubs will also offer free transportation.

BGCNEO said summer programming will include daily activities, field trips and a free meal. This year’s theme is “Journey through Summer” and will see participants fishing, going on outdoor excursions, engaging in equestrian therapy, enjoying field days, getting work experience, and learning about nutrition. Clubs will also host theme weeks, including “Great Futures,” “Holidays in July,” and “Olympian Challenge.”

Notably, there is no charge for joining a Club.

Here are the Clubs that will be open throughout the summer in Cuyahoga County:

  • Broadway, 6114 Broadway Ave., Cleveland
  • King Kennedy, 2561 E. 59th Street, Cleveland
  • Saint Luke’s, 2705 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Cleveland
  • Bridge City Church, 3381 Fulton Road, Cleveland
  • Elmwood, 5275 Turney Road, Garfield Heights
  • Other locations will be opened in Lorain, Summit, Huron, Erie and Ashtabula counties.
