Give back to Mother Earth at a community event near you

It’s never a bad time to make an effort to nurture the environment, but Earth Day, coming up on Monday, April 22, is an especially good opportunity to plant a tree, clean a river or pitch in however you can.
Below is a list of just a few of the Earth Day initiatives taking place throughout Cleveland where members of the community can do their part:
- Adopt a tree with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy
- Doan Brook Stream Sweep hosted by Doan Brook Watershed Partnership and Nature Center at Shaker Lakes
- Community Tree Planting hosted by Ohio City Incorporated
- Tree Planting at East 63rd in St Clair Superior
- Tree Planting on East 76th in St Clair Superior
- Adopt-a-Trail and other events at Cuyahoga Valley National Park
- Earth Day Hike with the Cleveland Metroparks
- “The Big Clean” trash collection contest – Euclid vs. Collinwood
- Earth Month events with Sustainable Cleveland
- Panel discussion: Federal Investments for a Healthier Environment on April 23rd
