Halloween is quickly approaching. If you’re looking for ways to better enjoy the spooky season, look no further. We’ve gathered events for families and adults, with craft beer festivals and trick-or-treat events galore.

Trick-or-treat festival at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo — Weekends (including Fridays) through Oct. 27 — 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. — This daytime Halloween celebration includes access to trick-or-treat stations along Wayside Furniture Way, meet-and-greets with costumed characters, and a Monster Mash Dance Party. Tickets also give guests access to the Zoo’s Dino Cove. The first 1,000 guests each day get a complimentary trick-or-treat bag. Notably, general admission to the Zoo is not included with Trick-or-Treat Fest tickets.

Pumpkins and piranhas at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium — Oct. 25 – Oct. 27 (open to the general public), Oct. 28 (sensory-friendly night) — This evenet features an activity booklet highlighting “misunderstood animals,” underwater jack-o’-lanterns, costumed divers, animal enounters, Halloween-themed decorations and music, pop-up appearances by Finn, the landshark mascot, and a rotating array of entertainment, like face painting and fortune telling. Tickets are required.

Bootanical Bash at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens — Oct. 18, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. — The Botanical Garden will be decorated from the Terrace to the Hershey Children’s Garden. Treats will be available throughout the grounds and fun activities will be held along White Oak Walk. There will also be a kid-friendly dance party featuring DJ Kris Koch. Tickets are required.

Spooky Sketches at the Cleveland Museum of Art — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Free, no ticket required — Illustrator and multimedia artist Angela Joy Oster will lead a collaborative drawing session, with guests invited to create their own interpretations of supernatural beings, inspired by the exhibit, “Demons, Ghosts, and Goblins in Chinese Art.”

Spooky Tours of the Cleveland Museum of Art — Free, but ticket required — This guided tour will delve into the alleged hauntings at the Cleveland Museum of Art, and will also explore eerie artwork throughout the museum’s collections. Tours take place Wednesday and Friday evenings at 6 p.m. and Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 p.m., from Oct. 16 through Oct. 31.

History on Tap: Beyond the Veil at the Cleveland History Center — The annual History on Tap event will explore the world of 19th-century spirtualism. Guests will learn about the practices of mourning, with costume displays, table tipping demonstrations. You’ll then have an opportunity to visit with vendors, listen in on chats from experts, and enjoy full museum access.

All Hale’s Eve: Ghosts and Legends of the Western Reserve at Hale Farm — Oct. 26, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. — This unique craft beer festival will give adult guests an opportunity to explore a suddenly haunted Hale Farm. You’ll encounter ghostly tales, chilling legends, and have spine-tingling encounters. Tickets are required. Guests must be at least 21 years of age.
