Join Councilwoman Rebecca Maurer in supporting and celebrating Neighborhood Pets this season, at its Holiday Party. “Times are tough for Clevelanders, and Neighborhood Pets feels that each and every day at our Resource Center in the Slavic Village community of Cleveland. This event is an opportunity to provide a reprieve for the community from the stress of the holidays,” says Executive Director and Founder Becca Britton. Kuumba, the sixth principle of Kwanzaa, emphasizes the use of creativity to uplift and strengthen the community, with the goal of leaving it more beautiful and beneficial than when inherited. In partnership with Djapo Cultural Arts Institute, the event will immerse participants in a rich tapestry of African and African American cultural traditions, promoting unity, empowerment, and creativity through soulful music, captivating storytelling, and communal engagement.
