The Land and the Northeast Ohio Solutions Journalism Collaborative (NEOSOJO) were named finalists in the “Best Coronavirus Coverage” category of the Local Independent Online News (LION) Publishers’ Local Journalism Awards.
Reporters Daniel Polletta and Conor Morris both hit the ground covering evictions throughout this past year of the pandemic. The Land and NEOSOJO partnered on what would become a series of stories focused on how pandemic rental aid wasn’t always making its way to those who most needed it, and how local renters’ rights groups stepped in to help.
