After two years of planning amidst the difficulties of the Covid-19 pandemic, stakeholders in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood on the west side have unveiled the fruits of their labor: a master plan that is aimed at guiding equitable development in the neighborhood.
Now in its fourth year, the Cleveland Chain Reaction program has awarded 23 local businesses with over $160,000 in grants to help create new jobs and encourage continued economic development in the region.

An ambitious plan to redevelop Cleveland’s east side lakefront with trails, beaches and a new offshore island took a critical step forward Friday morning. That’s when the Cleveland Planning Commission approved the Cleveland Harbor Eastern Embayment Resilience plan, also known as CHEERS, which would add more than 80 acres of new parkland and better connect residents with the water.
