The noted author and birding enthusiast – famous for his racially charged encounter with a woman in New York’s Central Park – may have been preaching largely to the choir, but his message of inclusivity was welcome and deeply inspiring nonetheless.
On Saturday, April 18, “Fade 2 Black,” Calhoun’s newest short film, will receive its world premiere at the Atlas Cinemas movie theater at Shaker Square at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The $12 million project will increase that visibility with improvements to its Gordon Square Theatre lobby, classroom, church and parish hall and the building’s exterior.
