Lucy McNees is a freelance journalist, poet and lover of stories. She holds a BA in creative writing and religious studies from Macalester College. She is a lifelong submitter to the Geauga Parks Nature Writing Contest where she has proudly placed in all age categories and a recipient of the Harry Scherman Writing Award for poetry in 2025. She enjoys the forest, traveling, and all things coffee.
