The Land invites members and friends to gather online for a lunch-hour discussion about environmental justice. We will explore what it is and introduce our Ask The Land: Environmental Justice Reporting Initiative. We will also share how The Land and its collaborative partners plan to engage and report on this topic over the summer in the Clark-Fulton, Collinwood, and Slavic Village neighborhoods of Cleveland while gathering audience input on building community connections in those places. The Land’s partners on this project include NewsLab at Kent State University, Ideastream, La Mega Media, Northeast Ohio Solutions Journalism Collaborative, community residents, and other neighborhood stakeholders.
The Land is a local nonprofit news startup that reports on Cleveland’s neighborhoods and inner ring suburbs. We deliver in-depth stories that foster accountability, inform the community, and inspire people to take action.
